ista planned a new communication platform for its approximately 6,000 employees and brought Telekom MMS on board for this purpose.

Employees Well Informed Even on Journey

After the licenses for the current intranet expired, ista sought a new intranet based on Staffbase technology. The application should simplify editing and clearly and systematically convey information to the various target groups. The platform should serve as a central information channel. To enable employees with company-issued phones to access it on the go, ista wanted to optimize the mobile solution accordingly.

Staffbase as Basis for a Customized Intranet

A well-thought-out design is essential for a customized intranet that is tailored to the needs of the company and its users. Am Entwurf beteiligt waren unter anderem die Startseite mit der Navigation, die Vergabe von Rechten und Rollen sowie die Bereitstellung von Standard-Templates. Telekom MMS also assisted in the development of new start pages for the individual national subsidiaries and ensured the multilingualism of the tool, as ista operates in 20 countries worldwide.

To enable the editorial team to create content independently and maintain the intranet company-wide, Telekom MMS experts conducted the necessary training. Telekom MMS also assisted with the preparation of the migration of old content into the new system. Additionally, the New Work expert team implemented the desired adjustment of the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) requested by ista.

The new communication platform based on Staffbase guarantees data storage that is compliant with GDPR and ISO 27001.

Using the new "Inside" communication platform, employees can now access all information much more easily and quickly. The mobile distribution of content via an app also increases the reach of the intranet and more strongly involves employees in the field with their service phones. The added user-friendliness not only contributes to high acceptance by users, but also promotes satisfaction, motivation, and identification with the company.

Thanks to the simple handling of the customized tools, the editorial team can independently and quickly set up and publish content. News become even more up-to-date, and the editorial team more efficient. Through the structured distribution of information by country, location, and business area, the various target groups can be addressed more precisely, which significantly reduces information loss.
